Here at Kingdoms, we love to hear heartbreaking stories that turn into happy endings, and Jubilee’s story is one.
Jubilee is a unique looking husky who has always been shy around strangers.Amongst that timid exterior, there is a sweet and affectionate dog that wants what all of us want, to be loved for who she is.
She was surrendered by her breeder to a rescue shelter because she was “weird-looking.“Jubilee was born with a cross-eyed and always ‘surprised’ look due to an issue with her eyelids.The unique-looking four-year-old pup was awaiting a family to call her own for two years at the Husky House rescue.But when they posted about her on their Facebook page, the internet just fell in love.
To the rescue pages surprise, the post went viral receiving more than 46,000 shares and 23,000 comments.
Still, the poor rescue received few applications.
“We haven’t received many applications, even though all these comments say they want [her],” Husky House wrote in a Facebook Update.
Husky House made sure Jubilee was treated and examined by Dr. Doug Cotler and checked this condition does not impact her overall health.
She was also pampered at a local groomer before a meet and greet event to find her new family.
“She’s a little shy at first, but if you offer her a treat she’s your best friend!” Husky House said. “She’s a very sweet dog and loves people once she warms up.”
Having being rejected many times in the past, Jubilee tends to be wary around strangers.
Finally though, Jubilee found her happy ending.
A couple who have adopted through Husky House before opened their hearts and their homes.
She now has siblings she can play with.
“One of Jubilee’s favourite things to do when she was here at the rescue was to hang out and play with the other dogs.
Especially her two best buds, Rosie and Rocky,” said a representative from Husky House.
Jubilee has been an amazing ambassador for the rescue group and will continue to raise awareness through her story.
So far she has helped raise over $2,000 for Husky House, absolutely amazing!
