Cat Patiently Waits For Grandma To Finish Mending His Favorite Stuffed Toy

This cat took a liking to a stuffed toy leopard the day his owner bought it for him.The toy is about the same size as him when his owner bought it, but it did not matter to the cat, turning this toy as his security blanket.When grandma decided to fix the toy with holes and stuffing coming out of it years after it was bought and the cat waited patiently until all the sewing is over.Lucas fell in love with his stuffed toy leopard from day one. The toy is about the same size as him when his owner bought the thing home, but this was not a problem for the little kitten.

The preference never wavered over the years. The cat never did outgrow his favorite toy.“I got the toy from my local zoo, along with a few other stuffed animals,” Alana says when she shared the story about her cat. “He usually leaves my stuffed animals alone, but he wouldn’t leave this one alone.”The problem therein, the stuffed toy leopard becomes more raggedy as years pass by. Lucas pays no mind, however. There must be something special about this leopard that only the cat sees and the toy turned out to be his version of his security blanket.

“He just would go crazy for this one,” Alana said. “I’d find it in all sorts of weird places all covered in cat spit.”

The family keeps the toy in spite of his condition. It was only last year that Alana’s grandmother, who took a liking to the little cat, decided to breathe some life back into the toy leopard with fur all tattered and stuffing coming out.

“He’s had this toy for probably four years, and it ripped because of wear and tear,” Alana said. “My grandma moved in with us last year, and really loves Lucas. [She] saw that his favorite toy was ripped, so she sewed it back together for him.”

The maintained a close distance, overseeing reparations done for his toy. The cat sat patiently waiting on the surgery to fix his old friend, probably enjoying how the needle and thread move through his toy.

“He watched the whole time,” Alana said. “He was just super into what she was doing.”

The stuffed toy was returned to him, good as new, after the procedure. He made his approval of the end results known to the family, thrilled with the condition his toy is now in. Thanks to Alana’s grandmother, the lifespan of his favored toy is, more or less, doubled.

“Lucas was very happy!” Alana said.
