The New York City Marathon is one of the most well-known, if not the largest, long-distance marathons in the world, not only in the United States. The 26.219 event, which takes place every year on the streets of New York, attracts tens of thousands of people from all over the world. But the 2021 edition was even more extraordinary since a duck was among the 33,000 runners that took part.

The white duck, though, did a fantastic job, complete with a pair of red running shoes. And the now-viral footage of her battling against other runners in the streets of New York City attests to this. After all, Wrinkle may not have won a medal, but she did become an online sensation, and her parents are quite proud of her accomplishments.

“Wrinkle the duck is more than simply a lovely Pekin duck,” Justin Wood and Joyce Kung, the duck’s parents, wrote online. She is an adult human child who is fully grown. She moves quickly. She is lightning fast. She’s a zoom. Wrinkle is her name. “I’m still as quick as a duck boy.”

Wrinkle’s well-known appearance was publicized on her Instagram page. “I ran the New York marathon!” wrote “Wrinkle.” “Next year, I’ll be even better!” Thank you to everyone that was rooting for me!”
