Anderson Bahi was on his way home when he saw an incident that touched his heart.There was a man being rescued by an ambulance because he had fallen ill on the pavement.But the dog he was with, never left his side and hopped on to the ambulance to be with him.Anderson Bahi was driving his way home last night when he saw something that happened which he will remember for a long time — it was a picture of pure love.

“I was passing in my car when I saw an ambulance stopped on the other side of the road,” Anderson told The Dodo.As it turned out, a man was being rescued after he fell ill on the sidewalk while he was out with his dog.The responders carried the man and took him inside the ambulance to bring him to the hospital. But his best friend pup, won’t just let him go that easily, so she hopped onto the vehicle and went with his dad to wherever they may take him.

Anderson could only watch from a distance but what just happened struck a chord in his heart.

“The love this dog has for her owner is something very special,” he said. “A faithful love.”

But the truth is, the hospital crew left the door open so the sweet pup could hop in and be by her owner’s side. Thanks to them for being thoughtful.

In the hospital, the dog patiently waited outside after her dad was wheeled into the emergency. She refused to go away without her dad.

Shortly after, Maria Lúcia Muniz, a local animal rescuer, soon learned about her and offered to have the pup crash in her place for a night.

Luckily, the dog didn’t have to wait long because her dad was discharged not long after!

“It was very emotional,” Maria told The Dodo. “But thank God, the owner was only hospitalized for 45 minutes. His family arrived to take him and his dog home.”
